Isaiah Huggins, 19, and Rayquan Carmichael, 18, have both been charged with murder and weapons offenses. Huggins was arrested Tuesday at the Essex County Jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges. Carmichael was arrested in Jersey City along with a 16-year-old and also charged with murder and weapons offenses.

All three suspects are from Jersey City.

Fondeur was shot in the head and the neck while on Old Bergen Road Sept. 18.  He was pronounced dead about a half-hour later

Fonduer, who had just started his junior year at Ferris High School, was a "good kid" who probably was not targeted in the September shooting, friends and family have said.

On Monday, Fonduer's mother Johanna Negron said investigators had  notified her that they have arrested suspects in the shooting. The shooting also appeared to stem from a dispute between members of the Crips and Bloods street gangs, she told WPIX 11, quoting law enforcement.

“I just wanted justice for my son,” she told the station.
